CESA #12 Administration Changes
In late winter, 2021, Ken Kasinski, Agency Administrator for CESA #12, announced his retirement to the Board of Control and CESA 12 staff.
Ken has had a 42-year career in PreK-12 public education. He began his career at River Falls High School as a special education instructor. He moved to Washburn in 1987 to be the Middle/High School Principal and Athletic Director. He was named interim superintendent while maintaining those roles during the dissolving of the Ondossagon School District in the 1990-91 school year. Ken was appointed superintendent in Washburn and remained in that role for 9 years, capping a total of 16 years in Washburn.
Ken became the Superintendent of the School District of Ashland and held that position for 5 years before moving to the CESA 12 Administrator role in 2007. He will have led the agency for 14 years upon his retirement on July 1, 2021.
On Tuesday, April 20, 2021, the CESA #12 Board of Control unanimously approved the hiring of Dr. Dominick Madison as the 7th Agency Administrator. He will begin his tenure on July 1, 2021.
Dr. Madison has roots in the CESA #12 region. He grew up in Lake Nebagamon and graduated from Maple Northwestern High School. He earned his undergraduate degree in Education from the University of Minnesota-Duluth. He taught high school history, social studies and AP history at Amery High School. He earned a Master’s Degree in History from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, an Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Administration from St. Mary’s University, and was awarded his PhD from Capella University.
Dr. Madison has been the Superintendent of the Brillion School District for the past 16 year. Previous to that, he was the High School Principal for the School District of Ashland.
