
Classroom Management to Enhance Student Engagement Virtual Learning Series

This three-part virtual series is designed to support educators with the implementation of positive behavior interventions and support at the classroom level to boost academic engagement. The resources and training materials utilized in this series were designed by the Wisconsin RtI Center, Wisconsin’s Trauma-Sensitive Schools professional development series, and CESA #12.
The following topics will be addressed during this series.
- Day 1: – Relationship Building – Connections among academic, socio-emotional, and behavioral skills – Asset-based language – Procedural lesson plans to gain instructional time – Clear and positive classroom expectations
- Day 2: – Specific positive feedback to reinforce new learning (5:1 Ratio) – Key components of active supervision – Corrective feedback – Disrupting the hostility cycle through the use of defusing statements
Day 3: – Restorative Practices – De-escalation Strategies – Class Contingencies E-MLSS Key Features: High-Quality Instruction, Positive Culture, Evidence-Based Practices
Registration Fee: $75.00 for three 1-hour Zoom sessions *This event will not be recorded.
