Years Two/Three Initial Educators Support Seminar Series (Virtual) March 29, 2023 3:30 – 4:30 PM
A virtual four-part support seminar series designed to assist districts in meeting the PI 34.040 district requirement of ongoing orientation. Meetings are held quarterly throughout the 2022-23 school year. Year 2 & 3 Initial Educator Seminars provide professional development, collaborative discussion, and a community of practice amongst beginning teachers throughout the CESA 12 region. Each meeting is tailored to the needs of beginning teachers. Seminars feature instructionally-focused outcomes, exploration of the related Framework for Teaching (Fft) Components, and an aligned mentor supplement resource to encourage the continued professional development of both the beginning teacher and mentor. Participants will connect during four after-school virtual events throughout the year.
Support Seminar #4: Restorative Practices
Participants will examine and review the research on restorative practices and restorative circles in schools.
